The History of the Product Safety Newsletter
The Product Safety Newsletter premiered in March 1985, featuring a Chairman’s Message and Chapter Activity report. Rich Nute’s Technically Speaking column swiftly gained popularity. Over 15 years, circulation peaked and mailed every other month with institutional support. However, by November 1998, due to staffing and financial constraints, hard copy mailing ceased, transitioning to a web-based format.
Now, the Product Safety Engineering Society’s Newsletter and Journal continue the legacy of the Product Safety Newsletter.
